New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has invited Expressions of Interest (EoI) from eligible faculty members of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to develop a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) titled “Introduction to PM Gati Shakti” for the SWAYAM platform.
The initiative aims to enhance awareness and academic understanding of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, a flagship Government of India programme focused on integrated infrastructure development and multimodal connectivity.
Last Date for Submission
Interested and eligible faculty members must submit their Expression of Interest on or before 4 January 2026, as per the official UGC notification.
About the PM Gati Shakti MOOC
The proposed MOOC will introduce learners to the vision, objectives, institutional framework, and implementation mechanisms of the PM Gati Shakti initiative. The course is expected to cover themes such as:
- Integrated infrastructure planning
- Multimodal connectivity
- Digital platform-based coordination
- Role of central ministries and state governments
- Economic growth through logistics efficiency
The course will be hosted on SWAYAM, India’s national online learning platform, making it accessible to students, researchers, policymakers, and professionals across the country.
Eligibility Criteria
UGC has invited participation from eligible faculty members of recognised Higher Education Institutions, including:
- Central Universities
- State Universities
- Deemed-to-be Universities
- Autonomous colleges and institutions recognised by UGC
Applicants are expected to possess strong academic credentials, subject expertise, and prior experience in teaching, research, curriculum development, or digital content creation.
Course Development Framework
Selected faculty members will be responsible for developing:
- Course curriculum and learning outcomes
- Video lectures and reading material
- Assessment modules and quizzes
- Supplementary learning resources
UGC will facilitate the integration of the course into the SWAYAM ecosystem in alignment with national digital education standards.
