Maharashtra, November 2025
In a major push toward strengthening industry–academia collaboration and advancing technical education, Tata Technologies has announced plans to set up Centres for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) in Nashik and Amravati. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, empowering students with future-ready skills in manufacturing and emerging technologies.
About the Initiative
The upcoming CIIITs will serve as advanced training hubs, equipping students and faculty with hands-on exposure to modern industrial practices. These centres are designed to provide state-of-the-art facilities for design, simulation, automation, robotics, electric vehicles (EVs), and digital manufacturing.
Through this collaboration, Tata Technologies continues its mission to transform engineering education in India by fostering innovation-driven learning and creating a pipeline of skilled professionals ready to meet global industry standards.
Objective and Impact
The primary objective of the CIIIT initiative is to create an industry-integrated education ecosystem. Students from technical institutions in and around Nashik and Amravati will benefit from direct access to real-world projects, mentorship, and advanced software tools used by leading industries.
By establishing these centres, Tata Technologies aims to:
- Enhance employability and technical proficiency among youth.
- Encourage startups and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
- Strengthen Maharashtra’s position as a hub for technology-driven education and industry collaboration.
Tata Technologies’ Vision
Tata Technologies has already established several CIIITs across India in partnership with state governments and educational institutions. These centres have successfully trained thousands of students and professionals, contributing to India’s growing demand for skilled talent in areas like EV technology, automation, and Industry 4.0.
The new centres in Nashik and Amravati are expected to further expand these efforts, aligning with India’s vision of ‘Skill India’ and ‘Make in India’.
