In a significant push toward digital and tech education, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) has launched its Digital University (NDU), enabling students across India to learn Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies from the comfort of their homes.
The platform offers industry-aligned courses in AI, cybersecurity, data science, and semiconductors, combining virtual labs, interactive learning modules, and mentorship programs. Students can now access quality education without geographical barriers, making advanced tech skills more accessible and affordable.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated the university alongside five new NIELIT centres in Muzaffarpur, Balasore, Tirupati, Lunglei, and Daman, expanding opportunities in regions with limited access to technical education.
With collaborations with Microsoft, Zscaler, Dixon Technologies, and other industry leaders, NIELIT Digital University aims to bridge the skills gap, prepare students for future careers in tech, and empower India’s next generation of innovators.
