Nagpur, September 26, 2025: Shivaji Science College, Congress Nagar, Nagpur, successfully organized an awareness program titled “Breaking Barriers: Creating Harassment-Free Workplaces” for students, teaching, and non-teaching staff. The initiative aimed to educate participants on understanding workplace harassment, its impact on employees and organizations, and the importance of reporting incidents while supporting victims.
The event commenced with introductory remarks by Dr. Rashmi Urkude, preceding officer, followed by an address from Principal Dr. O.S. Deshmukh, who emphasized the college’s commitment to fostering a safe and respectful environment. All heads of departments, faculty members, and students attended the program, reflecting the institution’s proactive approach towards creating awareness about workplace ethics and safety.
The highlight of the program was a lecture by guest speaker Advocate Usha Manikpuri, who shared her expertise on the legal aspects of workplace harassment and offered guidance on how individuals can seek support and remedies. Shivani Sharma warmly introduced the guest speaker, setting the stage for an engaging session.
