Some people say coaching is a must, others clear without it. For someone with average resources and good discipline, is self-study enough?

Coaching is helpful but not essential for clearing the UPSC exam. Many toppers have succeeded through self-study with a strong strategy, right resources, and discipline. Coaching can provide guidance and structure, but self-study with dedication, mock tests, and NCERT books can also lead to success.
