The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) has launched its Internship Programme, offering young women an opportunity to work on key government initiatives such as child protection, nutrition programs, and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. This program aims to engage women in social development and policy implementation while equipping them with valuable administrative and field experience.
About the Internship
The internship provides exposure to various flagship schemes under the Ministry, allowing interns to contribute to policy research, program coordination, and community-level implementation.
It is designed exclusively for women candidates between 21 and 40 years of age, encouraging their participation in social and developmental governance.
Preference is given to students and researchers from fields such as Social Work, Gender Studies, Public Administration, and related disciplines.
Stipend and Duration
Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹20,000 along with a certificate of completion issued by the Ministry.
The internship is conducted in four cycles throughout the year — May-June, August-September, November-December, and February-March — providing flexible opportunities for applicants to participate.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open only to women candidates aged 21 to 40 years.
- Students pursuing or having completed postgraduate studies in relevant social or administrative fields are preferred.
- Applicants should demonstrate an interest in social welfare, women’s empowerment, and child development.
