A free course on “New Age Business Models” has been offered by IIM Bangalore to business management experts, prospective entrepreneurs, and owners of businesses, as well as undergraduate and graduate students.
The goal of this six-week online course is to improve students’ understanding of modern business models. It is offered on SWAYAM, the Ministry of Education’s online learning platform. The window for applications is available now and ends on February 29. On the official website, those who meet the requirements can register.
It includes new business formats such as D2C (direct-to-consumer) businesses, aggregators, markets, and platforms. Lectures by prominent figures in the industry are included in the curriculum. These include, but are not limited to, Shekar Sharma, the founder and CEO of Paytm, Ananth Narayan, the CEO and founder of Mensa Brands, Arun Narayan, vice president of Tanishq, and Vikram Vaidyanathan, managing partner of Matrix Partners.
Through the use of video lectures, case studies, quizzes, self-assessment, and discussion forums, the teaching technique helps students understand the complexities of business models and the workings of modern firms.
