Nagpur, 7th August 2025 – The Girls’ Hostel of Shivaji Science College, Nagpur, hosted a Health and Hygiene Awareness Program with the aim of promoting cleanliness, personal well-being, and preventive healthcare among its residents.
The chief guest, Dr. Payal Chude, delivered an insightful session covering vital topics such as personal hygiene, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), cervical cancer, and their preventive measures. Her talk emphasized the importance of early awareness and healthy lifestyle practices.
Principal Dr. O.S. Deshmukh extended a warm welcome to the guest and commended her dedication towards spreading health consciousness among young women. Dr. Yogita Meshram, Convener of the Women Grievance Redressal Cell (WGRC), shared details about the cell’s functioning and its role in supporting women on campus.
The program was successfully convened by Prof. Reshal Deshmukh, Girls’ Hostel In-charge, in collaboration with the WGRC under the guidance of Convener Prof. Yogita Meshram. The event highlighted the institution’s ongoing commitment to the holistic well-being and empowerment of its students.
