New Delhi, July 15, 2025 — The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the “Digital India Reel Contest 2025”, inviting creative minds across the country to showcase the transformative impact of the Digital India initiative through short videos and reels. The contest aims to engage the youth and citizens in telling stories of digital empowerment, innovation, and inclusivity.
This initiative comes as part of the celebrations of 10 years of the Digital India programme, which was launched in 2015 with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
About the Contest
Participants are encouraged to create and submit reels (up to 60 seconds) highlighting real stories of how digital tools, services, and platforms like DigiLocker, UPI, e-Governance services, Common Service Centres (CSCs), and others have positively impacted lives.
The contest is open to all Indian citizens, with special encouragement for students, digital content creators, and rural innovators. Submissions are being accepted via the MyGov platform and various social media handles using the hashtag #DigitalIndiaReelContest.

- e-Governance and Ease of Living
- Startup Success Stories through Digital Platforms
- Digital Inclusion in Rural India
- Digital Literacy and Skill Development
Attractive Prizes and Recognition
Winners will receive cash prizes, certificates, and the opportunity to be featured on official government digital platforms. Top entries may also be showcased at upcoming Digital India events and exhibitions.

Digital India beneficiaries, such as women entrepreneurs from rural Maharashtra and students using online education tools in remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh, have already started sharing impactful videos.
