The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has officially announced that the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 will be held on November 30, 2025.
The CAT exam is one of India’s most competitive management entrance tests. It serves as a gateway for admission into the MBA / PGDM programs at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and several other top business schools across the country.
🗓️ Key Dates & Registration
- Registration: Already opened earlier this year and closed on September 13, 2025
- Admit Cards: Will become available from November 5, 2025 onward
- Exam Format: Computer-based, conducted in three sessions (morning, afternoon, evening) to accommodate aspirants across cities
- Application Fee: ₹2,600 for General / OBC / EWS categories; ₹1,300 for SC / ST / PwD candidates
During registration, candidates get to select up to five preferred cities for their test centers.
📌 What Aspirants Should Know
- The CAT scores are used not only by IIMs but by numerous other management institutes nationwide for their MBA or related programs.
- Since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions, normalization of scores across sessions is expected; candidates should be mentally prepared for this.
- Applicants are advised to keep all their academic, identification, and category documents ready and valid (such as Aadhaar, category certificates, etc.) to avoid last-minute complications.
- With high competition expected, mock tests and time-management strategies will play a crucial role in final preparation.
🔍 Why It Matters
Every year, CAT draws a large pool of aspirants — fresh graduates and working professionals alike — seeking admission into premier management colleges. The results of CAT 2025 will significantly influence whose applications advance to the next stages: group discussions (GD), personal interviews, and final selection.
Given the intense competition and limited seats at top management institutions, performance in this one exam often becomes a defining milestone in an aspirant’s career trajectory.
