Nagpur, August 13, 2025 – In a thoughtful initiative blending ecological responsibility with cultural tradition, the NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of Shivaji Science College, Congress Nagar, Nagpur, organized the program “Tulas Lava, Paryavaran Jagava” on August 13, 2025. As part of the event, volunteers distributed Tulsi saplings in temples and surrounding communities, fostering a sense of environmental awareness and spiritual growth.
The activity emphasized the spiritual and medicinal significance of Tulsi, inspiring community members to incorporate it into their daily lives. Temple devotees actively participated in the program, warmly receiving the saplings and pledging to nurture the plants with care. Volunteers also shared messages about ecological preservation and sustainable living, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility toward the environment.
Principal Dr. O. S. Deshmukh lauded the efforts of the NSS unit, highlighting that initiatives like these reflect the institution’s commitment to environmental protection and social engagement.
