New Delhi, August 2025 — In a major step toward integrating skill-based learning into mainstream education, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the launch of Skill-Education Talk Shows along with a dedicated community radio service. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between classroom teaching and employability by bringing policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and educators directly into conversations with students and teachers.
The talk shows will cover a wide spectrum of subjects, from digital skills and entrepreneurship to creative arts, health, and vocational training. Designed to encourage practical knowledge and career awareness, these sessions will provide insights into how students can prepare for the future job market.
To ensure wider accessibility, especially in regions with limited internet connectivity, CBSE is also setting up a community radio channel. This will broadcast live and interactive sessions, complementing the Board’s existing digital outreach platforms such as the Shiksha Vani podcast.
Education experts have welcomed the move, noting that skill education is becoming increasingly essential in a rapidly changing global economy. By combining traditional academics with employability-focused learning, the program is expected to empower students with the confidence and competencies required for real-world challenges.
Implementation guidelines for schools are expected soon, and CBSE officials said they hope the initiative will encourage both students and teachers to actively participate in the dialogue around skill development.
This development comes at a time when educational institutions across the world are placing greater emphasis on work-readiness, practical training, and lifelong learning pathways.
