New Delhi, July 12, 2025 – In the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited young candidates across India. The event took place simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide, marking another landmark step in the government’s employment initiative.

🎯 Drive Highlights

  • The distribution coincided with the PM’s “Bina Parchi, Bina Kharchi” slogan, emphasizing transparent, no-recommendation, and cost-free recruitment.
  • Across various critical sectors—including Railways, Health, Posts, Finance, Home Affairs, Labour, and Security Forces—appointments were made.
  • Since its inception in October 2022, the Rozgar Mela series has led to over 1 million appointment letters being issued to date.

📌 On-Ground Impact

  • In Bhubaneswar, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan flagged off the local event, distributing letters to 204 recruits including roles in railways, postal, finance, CRPF, CISF, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, and IISER Berhampur.
  • Across the East Central Railway zone (Patna, Hajipur, Samastipur, Gaya), 347 appointment letters were handed out—215 for railway Group C/D roles.
  • The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) also issued 976 letters, including for Accounts Officers and Social Security Assistants.

💬 PM’s Message

Addressing the appointees via video link, PM Modi emphasized:

  • The government’s role as a facilitator of growth, not an obstacle.
  • These weren’t just jobs—they were new responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to nation-building .
  • Expanding youth participation in governance aligns with the vision of a self-reliant (Aatmanirbhar) and developed (Viksit) India .

📈 Why It Matters

  • Youth empowerment & employment: This initiative helps reduce unemployment and bridges the education-to-employment gap in central government sectors.
  • Transparent recruitment: The “Bina Parchi, Bina Kharchi” approach promises fairness and stripped-down bureaucratic barriers.
  • Public confidence and visibility: The large-scale, high-profile rollout aims to reinforce trust in governmental systems while visibly reinforcing inclusiveness.
